Each year millions of non-emergent calls are made to 911 that overcrowd emergency rooms, reduce ambulance availability for life-threatening issues, and increase healthcare costs by billions of dollars. Tele911 integrates with EMS Agencies to allow for safe Treatment in Place or alternate destination transport also providing wrap-around follow-up services. Tele911 is a cutting-edge technology company that specializes in providing enhanced connectivity between public health and safety and the larger healthcare ecosystem. Our innovative 911 telehealth platform enables first responders to consult with emergency physicians, allowing for safe treatment in place for stable patients who call 911, thereby reducing unnecessary ambulance transport to overcrowded emergency rooms. Tele911 integrates Emergency Medicine telehealth and Patient Navigation into 911 EMS care systems.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

The Telemedicine Physician will be responsible for seeing patients who agree to a follow up after an initial Tele911 consultation via EMS partner agency. Patients wish to see a qualified physician to see how their care is after the initial consultation. You may be required to provide new prescriptions, refills, send prescriptions for DME equipment, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Digitally sign the Rx after the consult is completed;
• Conduct consultations via video 
• Respond to patient questions related to their treatment;
• Improve patient care, quality, safety, and overall clinical effectiveness;
• Follow best practices and company specific policies for diagnosis and treatment;
• Maintain relationship between physicians and senior executive leadership team;
• Performance Consulting;
• Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed;
• Provide care using our custom EMR: evaluating patient records, diagnosing, and prescribing medication and making lifestyle recommendations.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Board-Eligible or Board Certification by the American Board of Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Active medical license in good standing in CA, TX, or FL
• Exceptional communication skills
